Trashurrection is Pispala's recycled concept, where fashion meets sustainability in a vibrant fusion of creativity and eco-consciousness. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in the heart of Tampere by our designer Lauri Järvinen.
Trashurrection collection available exclusively at our Flagship store on Aleksis Kiven katu 15 Tampere.
Trashurrection embraces a freestyle approach to design, these one-of-a-kind creations come to life in the intimate setting of our basement studio. Here, discarded fabrics are reborn into stunning garments, each telling a story of renewal and ingenuity.
It all began when our dear friend Ville arrived with a treasure trove of memories—20 boxes overflowing with fabrics and mementos collected by his mother, Sirpa, throughout her lifetime.
As our designer's eyes beheld the array of materials, their imagination sparked with possibilities. Each fabric swatch whispered tales of bygone eras, and every piece held the essence of Sirpa's love for craftsmanship.
Inspired by her spirit, they embarked on a journey to breathe new life into these forgotten treasures.
In the future we wish to receive more fabrics that are still looking for their purpose in this world.
Traushurrection became more than just a collection—it became a movement. A movement to honor the past, celebrate sustainability, and redefine fashion with purpose. And as we invited others to join us on this journey, we discovered that true beauty lies not only in what is new, but in what is reborn.
Dedicated to sirpa
The inaugural collection is a heartfelt tribute to Ville's late mother, Sirpa, a woman of many talents—amateur seamstress, full-time hairdresser and an adolescence DJ. Born in 1957 in Salo, Finland, Sirpa's legacy became the cornerstone of our creative endeavor.
Her social nature, coupled with her unwavering work ethic and resilience, made her a beloved figure in her community. Above all, Sirpa was a devoted mother, always standing by her son Ville and his children through thick and thin.
